Be a Weekend Warrior

Did you know that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are 43% of your week? I never realized this, and I used to phone it in on the weekends. Seriously. Friday night to Sunday night, I was in full-on "No Fs given" mode. Unfortunately, this also meant I wasn't getting any results. In fact, I gained some weight for a while, a little each week. What changed? I became a badass on the weekends. 1. I worked out every day on the weekends, even if it's just a mile walk. Movement has become key for me, and I never miss a day- Friday though Sunday. 2. I choose my treats carefully, not eating every sweet or salty treat in sight. I'm not talking about denying yourself your aunts special sticky buns (shout out to my Aunt Michele). I'm talking about drinks that aren't even tasty, the dry donuts leftover from this morning, and the chips your kid rejected. 3. I drink my water, no matter what. My goal is a gallon, and I drink it. I pack my favorite cup every time I travel, and I chug. I don't play the dehydration game when I travel. I acknowledge the need for stops, and that reststop at the Maryland/Pensylvannia line pracically has a spot reserved for me. 4. I eat my veggies, even though I am not a vegetable eater. I have to be extrememly cognizant of where and when I'm getting vegetables. I plan ahead and pack them on every trip I take. A big part of this is not pretending that I suddently like beets or that I'm going to magically love lima beans. I pack my favorites- heirloom tomatoes, salad mix, and red bell peppers. This make me much more liekly to get them in. Crush your weekends, they're almost half of your week. Also, it gives you great momentum going into Monday! I'm taking beta clients starting Monday. You get coaching with me at a super reduced rate. It's open for 5 days only, so think about if one of these spots should be yours.
